Byron walks towards the bookshelf, slowly grazing his fingers across the book covers. He speaks slowly.

BYRON
In the years leading up to Dawn’s death, there were a string of mysterious murders. All brutal. All of them unsolved.

DR. ARNOLD
I’m familiar with them. The crime rate in this city is, well...depressing.

BYRON
The victims weren't exactly beacons of light. A few escaped convicts. Bank managers with ties to the mob. A few dirty politicians. Do you remember what they all had in common?

DR. ARNOLD
Yes. White rose petals sprinkled over the bodies. The police think it's a serial killer. "The White Rose." That's what the media calls him.

BYRON
You mean "her."

DR. ARNOLD
Wait...you think...

BYRON
I don't think. I know. Kirby is the White Rose. And she's not a serial killer. She's a crime lord, murdering off the competition and making it look like serial killings. But the autopsy reports are clear. The cause of death for each victim corresponds to a move on the list.
